What Am I Working On.......

I picked up this book after doing several of the hat patterns from Itty Bitty Hats and the thought of doing toys intrigued me. The giraffe is a work in progress, but it is so much fun. The snake is going to be a gift for a friend's grandson, I just hope I get him finished in time! The snake is being done in primary colors and I have no pictures of him as I want to complete him before I show him off....

New Moon, finally

Yes this is my creating crafty blog but this series has been such a major part of my life that I felt the need to blog about the movie. New Moon is my favorite book of the series, probably because I am a Team Jacob girl. It goes back to my teenage years and being the best friend in love with someone who did not love you that way back so I completely identify with his character.
I had to see this movie twice to really appreciate it. The first time I saw it I was in a really bad mood and so I couldn't give the movie my full attention. I also spent the entire time having a 19 yr old girl talk and scream during the whole thing, very distracting. There are also several discrepencies which were hard for me to get over.
I still think Kristen Stewart is not a good Bella and could live without Robert Pattinson, nothing against his acting just not so much a fan. I do love me some Kellan Lutz as Emmett, so an Emmett girl, love Ashley Greene...she is amazing as Alice but of course, Taylor Lautner is AMAZING as Jacob Black! He completely makes New Moon.
I am not happy that Edward still looks completely silly when he sparkles, could we not have come up with a better way to show this? And why we must we have so many scenes with the camera going round and round? I got dizzy and sick from it. I am also not happy that in the movie Victoria caused Harry Clearwater's heart attack, it was not that way in the book and I feel this was just not needed. My opinion and I am entitled to it. I also wished we could have seen Bella spending more time in La Push, like she did in the book, it would have showed just how deeply their relationship had grown and when Jacob pleaded with Bella to not go it would have been more convincing.
All in all I did enjoy the movie and am looking forward to seeing it again. I am having mixed feelings about Eclipse as I love Rachelle as Victoria and am not looking forward to the addition of Bryce Howard. I do not feel that she is going to bring the right feel to the movie and the part.
